    • Anon, at first I had the very same reaction you did. But let’s think about it. Who caused Purim? Our teshuvah? Who picked the day of Purim? Who created teshuvah? Who carries the leaf? The wind or G-d?

      • As far as I know the Torah doesn’t teach that Yom Kippur is a day of atonement because the second luchos were given then. Though it does say these types of things about most other holidays.
