Why did Hashem choose us? How did He choose us? Now that I think about it, its a pretty fundamental question that I’m surprised I haven’t asked myself this earlier.

What does make the choosing of us on Hashem’s part special?

I understood R’ Manis to be saying that on the surface there is no logical reason why it was US over any other nation. But the fact that we were chosen (regardless of why) demonstrates Hashem’s clear desire to have us be close to him and exalted in his name.

This deep point that so clearly states the obvious is reflective of how our ultimate service of Hashem should be. We should serve with love and do Mitzvos out of the deepest to be close to Hakadosh Baruch Hu.

“Attachment without Reason” – R’ Manis.

Not without a real reason, Because Hashem OF COURSE has a reason why he chose us. But we dont need to know the reason in our human minds in order to serve him.

We just want to be attached to him on the holiest level. Without any logic configuration. We surrender our need to know.

How crazy is that? How beautiful is that?…

What an incredible journey it has been for me over these last few weeks. What started with one late night in Crown Heights has manifested into a powerful journey of self discovery and discovering newer and higher ways to serve our holy father in heaven. It took several weeks of me chewing over these concepts for it to really marinate inside me until I embraced it on the proper level. There is no Emes like the depths of Torah and I am overwhelmed with Gratitude to Hakadosh Baruch Hu that I merited to be surrounded by such meaning. And my Tefilla is that this Journey propels me to the next experience that Hashem has in store.

We yearn for that day when our lives will be filled with overpowering light and all our questions will be answered with Moshiach Tzidkenu in Bayis Shlishi speedily in our days.
