One of the most often misquoted lines to me when presenting the idea that G-d Needs Your MItzvos is: There is no way, it’s impossible to affect Atzmus!!! At first glance that seems to be a reasonable objection, after all G-d is infinite and we are finite.
But just listen how Rabbi Friedman so clearly articulates how that is not true in this video highlight. And make sure to catch the line towards the end at 24:05- “On the contrary, if you deny him the ability to be finite then he is not really infinite.”
Yesterday we had some fun here at 11213.org…as you can see from the videos below 🙂

Maybe this is the start of something new, who knows…
Recently I had the opportunity to sit down with Professor Lawrence H. Schiffman and talk about Hashem and his desire for Mitzvos and the perfection of this world. The video below is just a segment from the interview.
I also have included below an audio lecture with Rabbi Manis Friedman which directly relates to these topics as well entitled: How Does G-d Feel?
This round table discussion with Rabbi Manis Friedman and 8th grade Oholei Torah Bochurim really encapsulates the underlying themes discussed in this series.
If the Jewish people said Naseh Vinishma, why did Hashem have to hold a mountain over their heads? This video highlight by Rabbi Friedman gives a deeper perspective.
